Who will win the Premier League title? Analysing the fixture list and predicting the results as Liverpool and Arsenal try to topple Man City in the closest race in years

Liverpool may have fallen away but Arsenal remain one point ahead of Manchester City with the finishing line in sight

Just over a year ago, it looked like Arsenal were going to win a first Premier League title since 2004. Unfortunately for the Gunners' long-suffering supporters, Mikel Arteta's exciting young side ran out of steam down the home stretch and Manchester City finished first yet again.

The champions are favourites to prevail once again this season but, as we approach the final week of the season, they're now under far more pressure than last year. Indeed, while injuries and fatigue have finally taken their toll on Liverpool, Arsenal one point clear of City at the top of the table, albeit having played one game more.

So, who will finish the season at the summit?

Ahead of matchday 27, GOAL attempted to predict the future by running through all three teams' remaining fixtures – and the good news is that we've been putting in the actual results and standings after every round, and will continue to do so for the rest of the campaign, meaning you can continue make fun of us in the comments section whenever we get something horribly wrong!
